Srinagar, Apr 01 (KNO): Amid closure of schools in the wake of deadly Coronavirus, a government middle school in Srinagar that was recently upgraded to smart School has started online classes for the students to ensure that their education is not affected.

According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the teachers posted at Government Middle School Kothi Bagh said that they have started online classes for their students amid the lockdown period. Mubashir Ahmad, one of the teachers said that internet, which is playing pivotal role at this era has helped them to ensure the education of students is not affected.

“We collected the numbers of all the students in two days and started online classes through zoom cloud application,” he said. He further told—KNO that the online classes were started two days after the Director School Education ordered to start online classes for students, adding that the only difficulty they are facing through online classes is slow internet speed.

“As the high speed internet services are restricted in Jammu and Kashmir, the students are not able to see the lectures properly,” he said, adding that the services should be restored so that the students will not face any hardship during the online classes. Ahmad also stated that like him, many of the other teachers have also started online classes for the students.

“The teachers have opted different means to teach the students online. Some among them are teaching through WhatsApp while some others have been teaching from different means,” he said. Pertinently, online classes were the prime demand of parents following the closure of schools across Jammu and Kashmir due to the outbreak of deadly Coronavirus that claimed two lives so far in the Valley and infected over 50 people across the Union Territory—(KNO)
